Prosopography of the Medieval French Inquisition
My main, and favorite, project that I’m currently working on is a prosopographical study of how women influenced the spread of heresy in Southern France in the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries.
Jacques Fournier’s Interpretation of the Beatific Vision
Another project that I am working on, and have fallen in love with, is the analysis of the writings of Jacques Fournier and how he viewed Pope John XXII’s ideas on the beatific vision. Because Fournier served as the official papal theologian during John’s papacy, his differing views on John’s theory caused chaos within the papal court.
